Món Sant Benet

Sagalés now offers trips to Món Sant Benet, a beautiful area with a magnificent monastery in the Sant Fruitós de Bages area. We are now participating with the On anem? project, the Catalan Rail Service (FGC) and Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation.

This means that we can now offer a new combined round-trip ticket to Manresa-Baixador Railway Station from any point on the FGC Llobregat-Anoia Line, a Sagalés roundtrip ticket from Manresa-Baixador to Navarcles or Sant Fruitós de Bages, and a ticket to enter the Món Sant Benet area.

One of the most attractive features in this area is the Benedictine monastery of Sant Benet de Bages, which was founded in 960, and is one of the most well-preserved monastic buildings in Catalonia. Its architectural splendour brought it fame and prestige during the Middle Ages. It also received Papal authorisation directly from Rome. A visit to this monastery is a trip back in time, giving you a glimpse of what life was like a thousand years ago – making this trip into a one of a kind experience.
